About Us – Norton Democratic Town Commitee

Our Mission

Norton Democrats believe in the progressive Democratic values of equality, broadly shared economic growth, choice, universal access to health care, expansion of voting rights, and the need to take action against climate change. We also believe that an engaged group of individuals working together can influence the direction of our government to improve our community and the lives of individuals. Finally, we believe that our values build a better community at every level – national, state, town, even street. Our mission in the Norton Democratic Town Committee(DTC) is to improve the lives of people everywhere by influencing our government from the bottom up.

Our Goals

Our approach to this opportunity is three-fold – first, we will identify and organize like-minded progressives across Norton, and get them engaged in our civic processes. We need both potential candidates and supporters. Second, we will bring balance to the numerous boards and committees in town by helping progressive candidates get elected or appointed to those positions, and support select candidates for state-level offices. Finally, at the appropriate time we will engage the community in supportive non-political activities to help make Norton an even better place to live!
